Challenging food fantasies

PUBLISHED: 17:19 12 December 2007 | UPDATED: 08:18 28 March 2014

DECEMBER 2007: Celebrity chefs Gordon Ramsay, Jamie Oliver and Hugh
Fearnley-Whittingstall will join forces for a two-week season of
programmes on Channel 4 challenging viewers to think before they eat.

Oliver will present Jamie's Fowl Dinners, in which he will look at the realities of industrial chicken production. The programmes will air in January, mostly in the key 9pm slot.

* Egg producers have reacted angrily to the UK government's announcement that it will push ahead with the 2012 conventional cage ban regardless of whether other Member States secure a delay.
