'Eco-farm' launched in Hertfordshire

OCTOBER 16, 2009: A newly-designed 170-acre food and farming enterprise is producing local, ecologically farmed food.
Farmer and entrepreneur Tim Waygood devised the local alternative to the supermarket and industrial chain. He said: “The farm is a renaissance of mixed farming, growing food with nature, with maximum variety and at least 50% less fossil fuel.”
